Greg Osadetz ☐

Children: Sarah (present at IMI!), Alan, Andy, Ian and Emily. Granddaughter Lily!

Currently  Executive Director, CASA-1000 Power Transmission Project, a 1,300 km, $1.2 billion power line that will deliver enough hydro power from Kyrgyzstan and Tajikistan across Afghanistan to serve over 20 million people in western Pakistan. Still under construction. Maintain my own energy consultancy Mount Rundle Financial.

Since IMI, I moved down the energy chain, from oil and gas developments in Canada, then Russia, through developing and then running gas pipeline companies in Chile and Argentina, followed by management and restructuring of a portfolio of electric power generating companies in the Caribbean. Followed this with 10 years doing my own energy consulting and operating my own small businesses in Brazil.

In 2014 and the precipitous drop in oil prices, refocussed my consultancy on North America, including restructuring of oil and gas companies that became distressed as a result of the oil price slide.

In 2017, moved to Almaty, Kazakhstan on two weeks’ notice to manage the World Bank-sponsored CASA-1000 project for a six-month interim assignment, but still here after seven years!
